Forestry is the art of restoring and managing forests, where we bring nature back into balance and create new life—both in rural areas and in the city. By planting trees, protecting biodiversity, and managing forests sustainably, we contribute to a healthier environment and a more resilient ecological balance.
Biodiversity is essential for soil quality, fresh air, the animal kingdom, and the overall health of our planet. For example, healthy forests protect against soil erosion and desertification, and green cities have been proven to be cooler and beneficial for people, both mentally and physically. But as you know, nature is threatened worldwide—from ancient forests to jungles, and from city gardens to national parks. We strive to make the world greener and healthier at carefully selected locations, and you can help, planting trees for just one euro per tree!
Currently, we are operational in the following locations:
Mount Kenya
On the southeastern flank of Mount Kenya, we’ve already planted more than 65,000 trees. In the coming years, our focus at this location will be on maintaining and protecting what we’ve planted over the past few years. Restoring this area is essential for the local flora and fauna, as well as for preserving clean water and healthy soils. The return of thriving nature and wildlife is also creating a shift within the local community: instead of cutting down trees, protecting nature is increasingly seen as the way forward.
Sumberkima, Indonesia
In the surrounding wild landscape of Sumberkima, we are restoring interconnected hilltops and mountain slopes. By planting a well-balanced mix of native trees, soil-repairing plants, and fast-growing fruit trees, we are restoring biodiversity and preventing further desertification. This project benefits not only nature but also the local communities, who gain from the protected areas and the positive impact on tourism. Seeing nature as sacred again and protecting it is the most future-proof way of living—and it’s incredibly encouraging to see that everything possible is being done in this region to turn the tide before it’s too late.
For just 1 euro per tree, you can contribute to the restoration of nature that is essential for the future of our planet. Your contribution makes a real difference — and we are deeply grateful!
Plant a tree for the future. Every tree counts, and with your support, we take another step in the right direction.
¹ The cost for us to finance a single young tree depends on the total number of trees we’re able to plant per quarter, the success of our nurseries, the location, exchange rates, and many other small and larger factors. As of 2025, 1 euro remains a relatively achievable estimate for us, which also includes a 10% fee for The Restoration Club. This allows us to keep the Club operational. And if there's money left at the end of the year, we’ll communicate this and plant additional trees. That’s only fair — and fun!
² Each location uses a different mix of trees that are planted. We always base our selection on native biodiversity and what is needed for a healthy ecosystem. In some locations, we also plant fruit trees, shrubs, or even grasses — like bamboo, which is technically a grass, even though it can grow tens of meters tall. In locations where other types of cuttings are included in the mix, we always ensure that at least 75% are trees considered 'long-term growers'. The remaining 25% is filled in based on the local needs, with shrubs, plants, relatively short-lived fruit trees such as papaya or banana trees, and bamboo.

Monthly: Ready to get involved? You can set up a monthly donation starting from just €5. Monthly donations are neatly distributed across all our projects each month..
1x: Not ready to commit to a monthly contribution to the Club, but excited about a specific project you'd like to support? In that case you can opt for a one-off donation.
