As mentioned, our nurseries form the foundation of our operational locations. Without seedlings, there are no new trees. Without coral fragments, there is no new reef. And when it comes to organic waste — without an efficient set-up, there is no compost.

We proudly say that we’re tangible and efficient — and we are! But unlike our other projects, we can’t give you a fixed price for this one. If you choose to donate to this project — nurseries — we will hold onto the funds until they are needed. Sometimes that means expanding an existing location; other times, it means setting up an entirely new one.

For example, when it comes to coral fragments, we can say that it typically costs around two euros per fragment. Unfortunately, we can’t offer the same kind of estimate here. The cost of expanding a nursery depends — as you’d expect — on the location, accessibility, existing infrastructure, staffing costs, and dozens of other factors.

That said, whenever we make an expenditure within this project, we promise to communicate our plans clearly and transparently. That way, our donors and members will know exactly what we’re doing, how much it costs, and most importantly: what it will achieve.

Because make no mistake — setting up nurseries is not a cost to be written off, but a sound investment. And for that, every euro counts.
